Photographing Summer

Two of my friends recently bought DSLR cameras. One locally procured a Nikon D40 and he is currently enjoying his newfound hobby by going out with other enthusiasts. Summer is currently his photography subject.

Another friend bought from ebay a Sigma DSLR camera. It cost him a little under P40k and last night he showed me his week-old toy. "Wow!" was all I said to him abiut his gadget. We discussed of plans to go out and photograph summer.

The truth is, I really envy them. I want to have a DSLR camera too, but I have other priorities as of this moment. Had Google not slashed my PR, I could have earned enough by this time to buy entry-level DSLR cam plus a nifty lens. Oh yeah, some wistful thinking. I just had to be contented right now with my camera phone.

Photo above is taken by a friend who bought his Canon DSLR cam last summer. Yeah, seems like everyone else has a DSLR.

get your own "toy" na! hehe it's nice having one but it's much better being around ready to have your smile captured when your companion brings it along. haha!

Just you wait. You'll soon have your toy. Meantime, make the most out of your cam phone. As they say---and it's cliched but what the heck---"it's not the arrow but the Indian." :D

freze, i'm getting camera shy these days. i prefer to shoot than be shot at.

abaniko, you got a point there buddy. isa ako sa mga fans mo sa photography.

jho, if you a dslr, you also need a laptop.

faery, there is a big difference using DSLRs and ordinary digicam. you can afford it someday. ga hulog-hulog na ko ug tag singko sa alkansiya.

I also want a DSLR pero like you, I also have other priorities at the moment. I guess the camera has to wait.

pan, yep, the dslr can wait. I'll give myself a year for this.

not everyone has a dSLR.

i am a poor point and shoot user and just maximizing what my five year old camera can do.

i'll just repeat what abaniko had pointed out above: wala yan sa pana, nasa indian yan.

how ironic, some people (like me) got that slr toy (and formal photogrophy lessons), yet it wasnt'practiced and the same only gets dusty in the closet..while ur case is diff.., but i admire your priority-setting disciple huh'..(wish i can be like u)..dont u worry, there will always be good pics to shoot whereever u go..and beside, your friend can surely lend it to you for a while :)
