Holiday No More

I was looking forward for a long holiday amidst promises of a declaration by the President. Then it was declared. And then in was revised. My heart sank when I heard the bad news. It’s not that I don’t like work, but it’s because of another plan gone awry with GMA’s changeable mind.

I won’t care about the activities or their agenda. My interest in politics dwindled after the last elections. But all I hope is the absence of any terroristic activity on those days.

I thank God my 3-day leave of absence was approved. I’ll be out from this busy city enjoying the sun and the white beach somewhere north.

If the City Mayor had his way, he would have wanted for a four-day holiday. But the business sector cried and ultimately got their wish from the President. Now, they are busy planning where to pass during the summit because most major roads will be closed. Patid-patid lata lang siguro ani padung office. Some employees suggested a chopper to fetch them to their workplace. Not a bad idea!

I've been dying to get hold of V. Frankl's book--the one that you are reading specifically.

Where can I buy it...please tell :)

kala ko rin mapupurnada long weekend ngayon dahil sa bagyo pero lumihis sa manila kaya 3 days walang pasok...

Enjoy the beach. Here's hoping the place isn't crowded and it's not gonna rain during your stay. :D

i didn't think you were in cebu... nway, i did enjoy malapascua... and only i had enough money, i could have gone there this december... seems exciting there are dignitaries coming over to cebu... it's historic, GMA really love Cebu

tin-tin, yep I am.

francesca, I've been to Boracay twice already. I'll wait for another 3 years, saka pa ako babalik doon.

iskoo, the weather is fine here. I can't say much about the beaches in Mactan, coz only a few lang ang talagang maganda. But the beaches in the islands up north are much better.

Abaniko, it won't be crowded. Most are saving up their leaves and money for the christmas holidays. Even if it rains, maligo naman kami ng dagat. :) Hoping na walang tsunami.

Gbert, have you been to Malapascua? What about Bantayan?

jef, the book is available at National Bookstore. A friend gave it to me in 2001 when I quit PwC. He must have thought that I was searching for meaning.

bantayan, not yet but it's one of the places i'm really looking forward to see... dun ka pupunta? maganda nga daw dun... again, if only i had enough money... :)

... and where is that beach exactly located? :)

ralpht, the beach is located in Sta. Fe, Bantayan Is. Cebu. There's a long stretch of white sand, and unlike the beaches at Mactan, there are no restrictions if you'll just walk along the shore lines.

gbert, i think Bantayan is much better than Malapascua.
